Last Forest is a social enterprise with its mission - "pioneering sustainable living choices by connecting communities & markets". Begun in 2010, it is a Fair Trade company which works with indigenous and marginalized communities across the country, It is a market intermediary for wild forest and agriculture products which are natural, wild and local and harvested by indigenous communities. Last Forest procures from over 45 communities across the country and sells through over 100 outlets including its own retail shops in the Nilgiris (Kotagiri, Coonoor, and Ooty). We work with more than 150 villages benefiting over 25,000 people. We cater to the entire supply chain of procurement, quality check, brand, organic, fair trade, and indigenous products. We sell honey, a range of beeswax (which used to be thrown as waste!) products such as soaps, balms and lip balms.
