Shri Sharad Joshi has been working for more than thirty years to nurture CECOEDECON as a development organization for protection of human rights, environment and ecology, civic rights and community development that also entails preserving their cultural integrity and identity. In his capacity as the executive head, Shri Joshi has always promoted knowledge and cultural exchange. He has facilitated visits (and himself visited many) of university students, corporates, governments and other international organizations from around the world to expose them to the marginalized communities of the region. He continues to work in collaboration with various academic institutions and international groups on multiple issues and is affiliated to UN agencies such as UNICEF, UN Women and various cultural groups. He has a strong network not only in the country, but the South Asian region and internationally as well. His leadership recently earned Cecoedeon the very rare & honorable UN ECOSOC status
